HAMMOND — Junior quarterback D’Shaie Landor threw for two touchdowns — both to fellow Lafayette native Dylan Bossier — as No. 19 Southeastern Louisiana held its second scrimmage of preseason football camp on Saturday morning at Strawberry Stadium.
Bossier led Southeastern with 68 receiving yards as the two-time reigning Southland Conference champions continued preparations for the Sept. 3 opener at league foe Northwestern State. The scrimmage lasted approximately 75 plays with highlight plays coming from all areas.
Quarterback Justin Alo also threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to receiver Byron Johnson.
Freshman quarterback Donovan Isom rushed for a pair of touchdowns, while Senior Kody Sutton (five carries, 50 yards), sophomore Eugene Bethea (7-37, 1 TD) and senior Rasheed Harrell (13-33) were the other top rushers for Southeastern.
On defense, Southeastern finished with five sacks. Senior linebacker T.J. West led the Lions with eight tackles, two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. Senior defensive backs Denzel Thompson and Jordan Batiste each intercepted passes.
