NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Jernard Jarreau scored 15 points, Kain Harris had 13 and Tulane took a 72-51 men’s college basketball victory over Liberty on Sunday at the Challenge in Music City.

Melvin Frazier added 11 points for the Green Wave (4-3), who have won two straight. Jarreau was 6-of-8, and Tulane shot 49 percent, including 8-of-18 from 3-point range with Harris hitting three from beyond the arc.

Evan Maxwell and Ezra Talbert had 12 points each for the Flames (3-4), who dropped their third straight at the tournament. Liberty shot 39 percent, though it made 8-of-19 on 3-pointers. The Flames committed 19 turnovers.

Tulane took its first lead at 21-19 with 7:53 left in the first half and were up by 10 at halftime. Frazier scored the first four points of the second half and a 9-0 run later put Tulane up 64-37.

Tulane hosts UNO at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Women

Kennesaw State 60, UNO 53: In Kennesaw, Georgia, Jasmine McAllister scored 11 points and had 15 rebounds, and Kennesaw State used a late six-point run to defeat UNO.

Kelly Dulkoski and Iceis Walker each added 12 points for Kennesaw State (3-4), while Karly Frye had 10 points and seven assists.

UNO (1-3) was led by Randi Brown’s 21 points and four rebounds.

The Privateers host Trinity Baptist at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lakefront Arena.

ULM 88, Southeastern 84: In Hammond, Chelsea Tieuel scored 21 points, including two free throws after a steal in the final seconds, to lift UL-Monroe (4-1).

Nanna Pool led Southeastern (0-7) with a career-high 25 points and 15 rebounds. Taylin Underwood had 17 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. Gabriella Delaune had 10 points, five rebounds and four assists; and Peaches Anderson had 10 points and five assists.
