Anthony "Pooka" Williams


Williams, a 5-foot-8, 165-pound running back, rushed 29 times for 307 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead No. 10 Hahnville to a 38-27 victory over No. 2 and previously undefeated Covington in the Class 5A quarterfinals. Williams scored on runs of 39 and 25 yards and eclipsed the 300-yard mark for the third consecutive playoff game. Hahnville will travel to play No. 3 Acadiana on Friday in the semifinals.

Defensive Player of the Week

Tylan Driver


Driver, a 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive lineman, recorded seven tackles and had three sacks and three quarterback hurries in No. 2 Lakeshore's 55-24 win over No. 7 Neville in the Class 4A quarterfinals. The Titans improved to 13-0, with all wins by double digits. Lakeshore, seeking it first trip to the title game, hosts Rayne on Friday in the semifinals.
