METAIRIE — Assistant coach Jonathon Orillion is the new head wrestling coach at Archbishop Rummel High School.

An Raiders assistant coach for the past four years, Orillion has been a teacher at the school since 2011. He teaches World Geography and Western Civilization. Orillion replaces Rod Cusachs as head coach of the Raiders wrestling team.

While in high school, at Jesuit, Orillion was a member of a state runner-up team twice and a member of a state championship team two times.

“Archbishop Rummel is grateful for the contributions that coach Cusachs made to our wrestling program, and we are excited about the future of our wrestling program,” Rummel Principal Michael Scalco said in a school news release.

“I am both humbled and excited about the opportunity I have been given,” Orillion said. “I accept the challenge and look forward to working with the wrestling team.”
