VILLE PLATTE — Jonas Guichet scored on a 7-yard run with 17 seconds left to give Catholic-Pointe Coupee a 55-51 victory over Sacred Heart-Ville Platte in a District 5-1A game played Friday night at Sacred Heart.

Dylan Scully’s 1-yard touchdown run with 48 seconds remaining gave SHVP (4-4, 2-1) a 51-49 lead. CHSPC’s Guichet then connected with Jacob Juge on a 45-yard pass play that helped set up the game-winning score.

Guichet, Juge, Scully, Joshua LaHaye and Mikey Laughlin all played key roles in the game that saw the Hornets score 18 fourth-quarter points to rally.

Guichet completed 19 of 29 passes for 338 yards and three TDs. Juge caught eight passes for 207 yards and three TDs for CHSPC (3-4, 1-1).

Scully ran for a game-high 224 yards and three TDs to help lead Sacred Heart, while LaHaye completed 8 of 18 passes for 216 yards and three TDs. Laughlin had 104 yards on five carries to go along with six catches for 169 yards. He scored three TDs.

WEST FELICIANA 32, BRUSLY 28: In Brusly, Ryan Reed passed for 241 yards and also ran for 101, accounting for four TDs in a District 7-3A road win for the Saints (7-1, 3-1). Reed completed 10 of 12 passes.

Jazz Ferguson finished with nine catches for 225 yards, including TD passes of 61 and 25 yards for WFHS. Lorenzo Green had a 71-yard touchdown run and tallied 95 yards on four carries for the winners.

It was the seventh straight loss for Brusly (1-7, 0-4), despite a standout performance by Zavion Bell, who ran for 111 yards on 16 carries and also caught two passes for 77 yards. Bell had a 70-yard TD run. Josh Allen added 77 yards on 19 carries and scored two TDs.

Connor Manola passed for 188 yards for BHS. Jaylon Green caught three passes for 100 for the Panthers.

SOUTHERN LAB 35, CHRISTIAN LIFE 0: Joseph McWilliams ran for two TDs, and Bladrick Veal passed for two scores to help power the Kittens (3-5, 2-0) to a District 6-1A win.

McWilliams had scoring runs of 15 and 10 yards; Veal threw a 65-yard TD pass to Curtlan Williams and a 15-yard TD pass to Tevis Abraham. Darbbeon Profit scored on a 40-yard run for SLHS.

Deion Rainey had an interception and Chris Allen recovered a fumble by Christian Life (2-6, 0-3) to help pace the Kittens defense.

DONALDSONVILLE 32, BERWICK 0: In Donaldsonville, the Tigers’ Tyler Brown ran for two TDs and passed for one TD in District 9-3A action.

Brown completed 7 of 16 passes for 193 yards and one TD. He also ran for 47 yards on five carries, scoring twice. Jacquel Gant caught six passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns for the Donaldsonville (4-3, 1-1).

Tajh Gillard led the Tigers in rushing with 75 yards on eight carries.

EAST FELICIANA 36, CAPITOL CHARTER 0: In Clinton, big plays were plentiful for EFHS (4-2, 4-0), the lone undefeated team in District 6-2A.

Christopher Chaney scored two TDs, including an 89-yard run. Timothy Thompson also scored twice, including a 75-yard kickoff return for another score for the Tigers.

Kavon Moore tossed a 20-yard TD pass to Treylan Dunn and 30-yarder to Thompson. The Tigers defense held Capitol (2-5, 1-2) to 79 yards.

SILLIMAN 39, BEN’S FORD 7: Also in Clinton, Zach Kelly passed for 133 yards and two TDs while also rushing for 98 yards and another TD to help the Wildcats (8-2) close their Mississippi Association of Independent Schools with a District 6-2A win.

Trace McManus had TD catches of 41 and 80 yards for Silliman. Jordan Talley and Tyren Shelton forced fumbles for a Wildcats defense that limited Bogalusa-based Ben’s Ford (6-4) to 93 yards.

CHEF 46, WILKINSON COUNTY CHRISTIAN 27: In Woodville, Miss., Christian Home Educators Fellowship scored 10 or more points in three quarters, including 20 fourth-quarter points in its win over WCCA of the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools.

Arek Moslander completed 9 of 14 passes for 228 yards and five TDs for the Patriots. Moslander also recorded 11 tackles and an interception on defense.

Spencer Costa finished with four catches for 111 yards and two TDs, while Timothy Costa had three catches for 98 yards and two TDs.

Rodney Boyd ran for 190 yards on 28 carries to pace Wilkinson County Christian.
