MONROE — Quarterback Levis Lewis accounted for 224 total yards, propelling unbeaten Scotlandville High School past Ouachita 39-20 on Friday night Class 5A nondistrict action.
Lewis connected on 12 of 19 passes for 111 yards and one touchdown while rushing for 113 yards on 17 tries.
Scotlandville (5-0) opened the scoring on a 34-yard Lewis pass to David Armstead in the first quarter.
Chris Johnson and Kelvin Joseph punched in the next two Hornets scores on special teams touchdowns.
First, Johnson returned a kickoff 97 yards before Joseph brought back a punt 55 yards for a score.
Quarterback Devion Warren led Ouachita (2-2) in the air, going 14 of 27 for 150 yards and two touchdowns. Caleb Clark and Desmond Jobes also scored for the Lions.
DUNHAM 56, MENTORSHIP ACADEMY 14: Seven players scored as the Class 2A Tigers built a big halftime lead to notch their first district win.
Dunham (4-1, 1-1 District 6-2A) led 42-0 at halftime and finished with 341 total yards.
Defensively, Dunham held Mentorship Academy to minus-1 yard rushing.
Khyren Wells scored both touchdowns for the Sharks (0-5, 0-2) in the second half.
WHITE CASTLE 38, ASCENSION CATHOLIC 7: In White Castle, Dontrell Taylor and Daniel Edwards combined for 327 rushing yards and two touchdowns to lead White Castle to the District 6-1A win.
Jeremy Richard accounted for three WCHS scores, going 4 for 5 passing with two TDs, and adding one rushing TD for the home team (3-2, 1-0).
Kaleb Winchester returned a kickoff 80 yards for Ascension Catholic’s lone score.
ACHS fell to 1-4, 0-2.
NORTHLAKE CHRISTIAN 30, PINE 0: In Franklin, Josh Landry rushed for 194 yards and two touchdowns as the Wolverines cruised to the win.
Northlake Christian scored 23 in the second half to break open a close game. Wesley Brown also accounted for a Northlake touchdown.
NCHS held Pine to 17 rushing yards and 2 of 11 passing.
PLAQUEMINE 44, SOUTH LAFOURCHE 14: In Plaquemine, the Green Devils rolled past the Tarpons.
Plaquemine (2-3) was led by running back Kevin Domingue with 113 yards rushing on nine carries. Quarterback Austin Mitchell went 5 of 7 for 98 yards and two touchdowns.
Corbin Allen and Jaydon Cheramie combined for 244 yards on 32 carries for South Lafourche’s two touchdowns. The visitors from Galliano fell to 2-3.
EPISCOPAL 38, CAPITOL 14: The Knights surged to 21 points in the first quarter to win their district matchup at Episcopal.
Knights running back T.J. Wisham punched in three scores on 19 carries for 133 yards for Episcopal (4-1, 2-0 District 6-2A).
Kydris Washington and Caden Dickerson also contributed for EHS.
Devin Joseph scored on a 90-yard kickoff return and caught a touchdown for Capitol (0-5, 0-2).
SOUTHERN LAB 46, ST. JOHN 6: Bladrick Veal sparked Southern Lab throwing for 15 of 19 for 255 yards and three touchdowns in a district win at A.W. Mumford Stadium.
The Kittens (4-1, 2-0) remained undefeated in district jumped out to a 34-0 lead at half time and scored 12 unanswered points in the fourth quarter.
CATHOLIC-PC 38, COVENANT CHRISTIAN 20: In Houma, Catholic-PC (2-3) compiled 344 yards in its nondistrict win.
CHPC running backs Boyd Smith and Lucas Patin combined for 251 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
Covenant Christian (1-4) completed only three passes for 49 yards in the contest.
CENTRAL 28, McKINLEY 19: Trailing by six points in the third quarter, the Wildcats broke loose with 21 unanswered points to pull away for the win.
McKinley had tied the score at 7 in the second quarter when Markus Hill scored for a 25-yard touchdown run. Hill followed with a 5-yard score in the third quarter, giving McKinley a 13-7 lead.
From there, Central took over, getting touchdown runs from Alexander Lewis, Caleb Moore and Gabe Brown. It was the second TD for Brown.
The Wildcats won despite losing four fumbles. Central’s defense held McKinley to eight first downs on the night.
