BROTHER MARTIN RB BRUCE JORDAN-SWILLING

Jordan-Swilling, a junior, rushed 17 times for 333 yards and seven touchdowns (all in the first half) as the Crusaders rolled to a 68-21 victory over St. Stanislaus (Miss.). He scored on runs of 9, 13, 2, 40, 2, 80 and 83 yards for the No. 2 ranked team in The New Orleans Advocate’s Large School Super 10.

Poche, a junior, completed 16 of 25 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns in the Lions’ 33-0 victory over Haynes Academy. Poche threw touchdown passes of 30, 21 and 34 yards to help Lusher improve to 1-1 this season.

ANSLEY TULLIS, POPE JOHN PAUL II

Tullis, an eighth-grade hitter, played well last week in several big games (including the Jaguars’ straight-sets victories over formidable foes First Baptist Christian and John Curtis and tournament wins over E.D. White and Northshore). Tullis totaled 41 digs, 31 kills, four aces, and two blocks in 10 sets.
