WALKER — It was another week and another win for Walker.

The Class 5A Wildcats scored early and often en route to a 60-3 nondistrict victory over 2A Friendship Capitol in a game played Friday night at WHS.

With the victory, Walker moves to 3-0 for the first time since 2009. Terry Bozeman eclipsed the 200-yard passing mark for the third straight game, completing 13 of 23 passes for 246 yards and four touchdowns. He threw one interception.

Darius Hampton had two TD receptions for the Wildcats and finished with two catches for 66 yards.

Tristan Taylor ran for 50 yards on eight carries and caught a 44-yard TD pass from Bozeman. Capitol falls to 0-3.

LIVONIA 45, PORT ALLEN 25: In Livonia, Port Allen led 12-6 at halftime, but host Livonia (2-1) scored 22 fourth-quarter points to lock up its second straight victory.

Quarterback Cee Jay Powell ran for all three fourth-quarter TDs for the Class 4A Wildcats. Powell had TD runs of 1, 71 and 32 yards in the final quarter.

Barrick Slaughter and Patrick Queen also ran for TDs to help Livonia pile up 404 rushing yards in the nondistrict game.

It was the second straight loss for 3A PAHS (1-2) despite some big plays. Ken Broussard scored on an 80-yard run for the Pelicans, who also got a 78-yard kickoff return for a TD from James Jones.

MADISON PREP 27, EAST ST. JOHN 15: In Reserve, Tyrese Walker ran for 174 yards on just eight carries to help lead the Class 2A Chargers (3-0) past 5A East St. John (0-3).

Quarterback Edwin Kleinpeter ran for 50 yards on eight carries and scored two TDs. Kleinpeter also passed for 116 yards. Brian Savoie caught three passes for 43 yards and a TD for MPA.

Defensive lineman Malcolm Roach powered the Chargers on defense with 13 tackles, including two sacks and a forced fumble. Troy James added six tackles, and Tasmine Walker added five.

SOUTHERN LAB 26, WEST ST. JOHN 14: In Edgard, third-ranked Southern Lab of Class 1A rebounded from a Week 2 loss with a win over the 2A Rams (2-1). Bladrick Veal, Xavier Bell and Darbbeon Profit helped lead the way.

Veal completed 18 of 27 passes for 227 yards and two TDs. Profit ran for 82 yards on 19 carries and scored one TD.

Bell caught eight passes for 110 yards, including a 34-yard TD pass. Tevis Abraham also had two TD catches. Curtlan Williams contributed a big play to close out the scoring, returning a punt 65 yards for a TD.

ASCENSION CHRISTIAN 34, RIDGEWOOD 14: In Metairie, Payton Bahlinger returned a kick for a TD and caught a TD pass from Chris Middleton as the 1A Lions (2-1) won their second straight game.

Bahlinger has scored six TDs so far this season for ACH. Middleton also ran for a TD, while Brye Templet led the way with 80 rushing yards and one TD.

CENTRAL CATHOLIC 70, ASCENSION CATHOLIC 46: In Morgan City, Stefano Guarisco scored four TDs as seventh-ranked CCMC (3-0) of 1A remained unbeaten. The Eagles set the tone early by taking a 32-12 lead after the first quarter Thursday night.

Central Catholic’s first two TDs came on fumble returns of 52 and 35 yards by Charlie Solar. Guarisco’s TDs including a 75-yard kickoff return and 42-yard run.

Blake Bryne passed for three TDs, one of which was a 40-yarder to Travis Ruffin. Kaleb Winchester helped lead Ascension Catholic (1-2) with a 40-yard TD run and a 70-yard kickoff return for a score.
