Edwards-Helaire rolled up 296 yards of total offense to help lead the Bears to a 51-14 victory over St. Amant in District 5-5A last week. The junior finished with 130 receiving yards, 116 rushing yards and 48 passing yards as the Bears won their sixth straight game.

“We take every opponent seriously,” Edwards-Helaire said. “St. Amant is always tough. When the holes started to open up, you go through them.”

Dunn helped the Division V Bulldogs do in opponents last week by compiling 50 digs, 23 kills, 10 service aces and 4 assists. Ascension Catholic finished with a 5-2 record on the week that included two District 3 victories and three tourney wins.

“I think my defense was much better than my offense, but I was happy with how I played,” Dunn said. “We’re a team that has athleticism. We need to keep the right attitude.”
