Andrew Hicks rushed 10 times for 303 yards and three touchdowns in Belle Chasse’s 49-20 victory over Carver on Friday.

Hicks also completed his only pass attempt for a 29-yard touchdown as the Cardinals improved to 2-0.

Javelle Anderson rushed eight times for 120 yards and scored a touchdown.

Fredrick Smith also scored a touchdown.

Belle Chasse has scored 40 or more points in its last four games dating to last season.

Peyton Cooper led the Cardinals on defense with 11 tackles, while Kavon Wiley had two sacks.

Trey Green returned an interception for a touchdown.

The Cardinals, under first-year coach Stephen Myers, will play at Brusly on Friday.

Carver (1-1), ranked No. 10 in The New Orleans Advocate Small School Super 10, will host Fisher on Friday.

Slidell 27, Bonnabel 12: Kain Mitchell rushed 27 times for 211 yards and two touchdowns for the Tigers.

Mitchell also caught two passes for 26 yards.

Wayne Griffin completed 5 of 9 passes for 69 yards for the Tigers, who had 278 yards of offense.

Slidell (2-0) will play three straight road games, starting Friday at Lakeshore.

Franklinton 28, Covington 27: Renaz Wilson scored three touchdowns to lead the Demons to an overtime victory that helped his team improve to 2-0.

Conner Ackerman kicked the game-winning extra point in overtime.

Freshman Devin Brumfield rushed 30 times for 125 yards and a touchdown for the Lions (1-1).

Isaiah Carter had 11 tackles and Stevante Crandle had 10 for the Lions’ defense.

Central Catholic 35, Lusher 33: The Lions tried to rally from a 23-0 first-half deficit but fell short and dropped to 1-1.

Joshua Barney scored his third touchdown with 8:42 left to cut it to 35-33 but was stopped on the potential game-tying two-point conversion.

Barney finished with 115 yards on 15 carries.

Eli Poche completed 18 of 34 passes for 246 yards, including a touchdown pass to Jaylen Stewart.

Louis Landrum III hauled in seven catches for 152 yards for Lusher, which plays Sophie B. Wright on Friday.

Warren Easton, West Jeff to play Sunday: Friday’s football game between Warren Easton and West Jefferson was postponed after several lightning delays.

The game has been rescheduled for at 6 p.m. Sunday and will be played at Joe Brown Stadium.

The delays began right before kickoff.

Fans can use their ticket stubs from Friday’s postponed game to get in Sunday’s game.

Warren Easton, ranked No. 1 in The New Orleans Advocate’s Large School Super 10, is 1-0. West Jefferson is 0-1.
