Two soccer tournaments, the St. Amant Tournament and Catholic High’s Sacred Heart Cup tournament, are part of a busy high school sports schedule this weekend.

Catholic’s Sacred Heart Cup begins Friday Burbank Soccer Complex and runs through Sunday.

The St. Amant tournament features girls teams and is set for Saturday and Sunday at the school.

Teams set to compete in the Sacred Heart Cup include the host Bears, defending Division I-Class 5A state champion St. Paul’s-Covington, Brother Martin-New Orleans and Vandebilt Catholic-Houma, the Division II-4A runner-up earlier this year.

Mississippi-based St. Stanislaus is also entered. Junior varsity teams from the schools will also compete.

The St. Amant tourney features the host Gators, Dutchtown, St. Michael, Lutcher,

Ouachita Christian, East Ascension, Zachary, Westgate, Destrehan, Denham Springs, Episcopal, Runnels and West Monroe.
