“That finish in the 400 was huge,” Catholic coach Pete Boudreaux said. “I’m really proud of both of them. They’ve worked so hard. The 400 is a tough race. That last stretch really hurts, and you have to fight it. They did that today.”

Catholic’s Michael Hubbell won the 800 meters in 1:59.48. Kam Cummings ran 14.96 to win the 110 hurdles. Catholic also won the 4x200 relay in 1:31.24 and the 4x400 relay in 3:21.37.

“That was a really good run in the 1,600 by Alicia Stamey in a 10 mph wind,” EHS girls coach Eddie Cole said. “We had a lot of girls step up today.”

St. Michael’s Tyler Morrison won the girls 400 in 59.59. Episcopal’s Deven Kimbrell was second in 1:00.86.
