Seminars and a discussion entitled “The Future of Louisiana Football” help highlight the first day of the Louisiana High School Coaches Association Coaches Clinic that begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Crowne Plaza.
Two 50-minute sessions regarding Louisiana’s football future start at 9 a.m. and will be moderated by former coaches Charles Baglio and Rick Gaille. Football coaches from across the state have been contacted about attending one of the two sessions.
LSU football coach Les Miles and University of Louisiana at Lafayette baseball coach Tony Robichaux are among the scheduled speakers at 11 a.m.
LSU volleyball coach Fran Flory, Southeastern Louisiana University men’s basketball coach Jay Ladner, Louisiana Tech football coach Skip Holtz and Tech women’s basketball coach Tyler Summitt also are among the Tuesday speakers.
No staff from the Louisiana High School Athletic Association and no members of the media will be allowed in the future of football discussions.
An orientation for new LHSAA member schools is set for 1 p.m. A general assembly meeting for LHSCA members also is set for 2 p.m.
