WHITE CASTLE — Brian Savoie caught four passes for 285 yards and four touchdowns to help Class 2A Madison Prep notch a 48-20 victory over 10th-ranked White Castle of Class 1A on Friday night.

Edwin Kleinpeter completed 8 of 12 passes for the Chargers (2-0) for 295 yards. MPA led 48-6 at halftime.

Quincy Banks ran for 68 yards on five carries and scored one TD; Everette Richard added 65 yards on five carries. Malcolm Roach finished with 10 tackles and a blocked punt for the defense.

Cedric Triplett (five tackles, one fumble recovery), Tyrese Walker (four tackles, one interception) and Courtland Smith (four tackles, one interception) also led the defense. Tasmin Walker recovered a blocked punt for a touchdown, while Kenyonne Hawkins booted five PAT kicks.

NORTHEAST 26, BAKER 0: In Pride, Tyriq Kelly finished with 124 yards on 12 carries and also caught two TD passes from Marqueon Minor to lead the Class 2A Vikings (1-1). Quinshaw Kelly added 55 yards on 16 carries. Kelly ran for a TD and a two-point conversion. Roman Parker scored on an 8-yard run for the winners.

WALKER 64, FRANKLIN 14: In Walker, it was another big night for quarterback Terry Bozeman, who completed 14 of 19 passes for 302 yards and five TDs as the Class 5A Wildcats (2-0) won again.

Bozeman also ran for 85 yards on four carries and scored one TD.

Tristan Taylor led all rushers with 104 yards on 12 carries and scored two TDs. Darius Hampton (four catches, 118 yards, one TD) and Jacob Kennedy (5-108 yards, one TD) were the top receivers.

LUTCHER 34, WEST JEFFERSON 31: In Lutcher, the eighth-ranked Bulldogs (2-0) of Class 3A got another big night from quarterback Jontre Kirklin.

Kirklin amassed 369 yards of total offense. He completed 14 of 30 passes for 246 yards and two TDs. Kirklin also ran for 123 yards on 16 carries.

A 3-yard TD run by Daevon Adams in the fourth quarter provided the margin of victory. Gregory Clayton caught three passes for 100 yards and two TDs for the Bulldogs. Quarterback Coley Ransaw led 5A West Jefferson, completing 17 of 32 passes for 349 yards and two TDs.

LORANGER 45, ST. MICHAEL 23: In Loranger, the host Wolves (1-1) scored 28 of the final 34 points after the score was tied at 17-17. Loranger piled up 412 yards, led by Davonte Green’s 17 carries for 163 yards and Johnson’s 151 yards on 13 attempts. Evan Johnson was 4-for-8 passing for 67 yards.

St. Michael (1-1) was led by Treylan Sibley, who scored two TDs and threw one TD pass. Sibley scored on runs of 47 and 3 yards. Sibley also had a 32-yard TD pass to Clarence McGarner.

CENTRAL PRIVATE 23, UNIVERSITY ACADEMY-CENLA 14: In Alexandria, CPS (2-2) won its second straight MAIS game.

Cade Sanchez passed for 73 yards, including a 27-yard scoring pass to Gavyn Andre. Cole Averette (2-yard run) and Austin Slater (80-yard kickoff return) also scored the Rebels.

CHRISTIAN LIFE 26, SPRINGFIELD 21: In Springfield, Jacob Kibodi scored the game-winning TD on a 4-yard run with 5:33 remaining for CLA (1-1). The win was the first for CLA head coach Ben Palmer.

The Crusaders piled up 518 total yards. Kibodi scored three TDs and had 7 catches for 103 yards and two more TDs. Austin Ash completed 4 of 5 passes for 119 yards for CLA.

Jarod Davis rushed for 127 yards on 15 carries for the winners. Demariae Claiborne ran for Springfield (0-2).
