Parkview Baptist, Sr.

Whenever the Eagles needed a lift, Tarver helped them soar. And they did just that, finishing as the Class 3A runners-up thanks in part to Tarver compiling a 7-3-1 record on the mound with a 0.88 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 63.1 innings. Opponents hit just .123 against him. Tarver also batted .326 with 30 runs, nine doubles, four home runs and 24 RBIs.

Runnels

Johnson’s Raiders used a mix of youth and experience to become one of the area’s top teams. Runnels enjoyed its best season in Class 2A, compiling a 21-5 record and garnering the No. 2 playoff seed before advancing to the semifinals.

Austin Reich/Brusly, Sr.

One of the top pitchers in 7-3A, he was 7-3 with a 2.39 ERA and 88 strikeouts in 70.1 innings.

Tyler Pigott/Doyle, Sr.

Led DHS to the 2A semifinals with a 9-1 record, a 0.83 ERA and 106 strikeouts in 78 innings.

Trey Morgan/West Feliciana, Sr.

Set the pace for the 3A Saints with a 7-3 mark, a 1.48 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 56 innings.

CATCHER

Jacob Stagg/Redemptorist, Sr.

Offensive leader for the Class 2A Wolves batted .365 with six doubles, three home runs and 25 RBIs.

INFIELDERS

Jake Wharton/University, Sr.

Helped the 3A Cubs with a .393 average, 10 doubles, three triples, three home runs and 21 RBIs.

Chris Beckman Jr./Episcopal, Jr.

Batted .407 for the 2A Knights with eight doubles, three home runs and 20 runs in 19 games.

Sam O’Brien/Parkview Baptist, Jr.

Top offensive threat for the 3A Eagles had a .435 batting average, five doubles and 25 RBIs.

Johnny Johnson/Runnels, Jr.

Powered the Raiders to the Class 2A semifinals by hitting .430 with seven home runs and 31 RBIs.

OUTFIELDERS

Collin Landry/Ascension Catholic, Jr.

Helped ACHS make the 1A quarterfinals with five doubles, two home runs and 26 RBIs.

Jake Dunn/Brusly, Sr.

Finished with a .315 batting average, three doubles, 21 RBIs and 28 stolen bases for the 3A Panthers.

Darrian Bouquet/Maurepas, Sr.

Batted .458 with seven doubles and 22 RBIs to help the Wolves advance to the Class B semifinals.

Hampton Hudson/Runnels, Jr.

Played center field and batted .362 with two home runs and 20 RBIs for the 2A semifinalists.

UTILITY

CHASE DAY/Dunham, Sr.

Played four positions for the Class 2A Tigers and batted .407 with 10 doubles and seven home runs.

Donovan Thibodeaux/Maurepas, Sr.

Led the Wolves to the Class B semifinals with a 9-1 record to go with a .463 batting average and 26 RBIs.

Josh Sparks/Runnels, Sr.

A jack-of-all trades for the 2A Raiders, hit .375 with 24 RBIs and had a 3-0 record on the mound.

Mason Diaz/Family Christian, Sr.

Was red hot for the Class C Flames, hitting .562 with four home runs and four doubles.

Alec Duhe/Dunham, Jr.

Put together a 7-3 record as a pitcher and also batted .425 playing multiple infield positions.

Brandon Noel/St. John, Sr.

Finished 7-2 with a 1.39 ERA on the mound and also hit .353 with 25 RBIs for the Class 1A Eagles.
