The Nick Walker era at Crescent City was cut short after just three games.
Walker was relieved of his head football coaching duties Tuesday, according to a source close to the situation.
Crescent City opened the season with losses to Sophie B. Wright, Ascension Christian and Centerville.
Walker, 42, replaced Eros Sanchez as head football coach in July after Sanchez resigned in July. In November the LHSAA cited the school for violations Sanchez did not meet its academic requirements for being head coach.
The Pioneers went 1-9 in 2014 under Sanchez.
Walker is a Shaw alumnus and played for the Eagles when Hank Tierney was head coach. He was hired by Crescent City from a pool of 75 candidates for his experience as a playground coach as well as his time spent in sales, consultation and operations relative to education.
Assistant coach Craig Lingle will serve as Crescent City’s interim coach, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Neither Crescent City athletic director Jerilyn Cushing nor Walker could be reached for comment despite multiple attempts.
