Once again, the District 8-1A title belongs to West St. John.

Bradley Borne ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns as the Rams rolled to a 42-6 victory over White Castle on Friday night, wrapping up an undefeated run through 8-1A play.

West St. John (8-2, 5-0), the No. 5-ranked team in Class 1A, also got 93 yards and two touchdowns from Lamore Boudoin, who also caught two passes for 29 yards.

The Bulldogs (7-3, 3-2) actually took an early 6-0 lead on a 50-yard touchdown run by Dontrell Taylor, who finished with 71 rushing yards. But White Castle never scored again, managing just 103 yards from scrimmage. With the win, West St. John nabbed its fourth straight district title. The Rams figure to have a bye in the first round of the 1A playoffs.

FRANKLINTON 46, RIVERDALE 14: Franklinton clinched the outright District 8-4A championship Friday, building a giant first-half lead and cruised.

The Demons (9-1, 5-0), ranked No. 5 in Class 4A, got three first-half touchdown passes from Michael Wilson — two to DeAndre Allen and one to Josh Magee — en route to a 39-0 lead.

Franklinton also returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Riverdale (5-5, 2-3) got two long touchdown receptions from Donte Jackson.

EAST JEFFERSON 21, LAKESHORE 19: Morris Sarah had 134 rushing yards and two touchdowns and quarterback Trevor Diggs added 100 rushing yards as East Jefferson — the reigning Class 4A state champion — held off Lakeshore to clinch a winning season.

The Warriors (6-4, 4-1 District 8-4A) built an early 14-0 lead and had to hold on against Lakeshore (4-6, 2-3). LSU commitment David Ducre scored a touchdown with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Titans failed to convert what would have been a game-tying two-point conversion.

ASSUMPTION 42, MORGAN CITY 35: In Morgan City, Jimmie Wise scored three touchdowns to lead Assumption (3-7, 2-2) to the District 7-4A win.

Wise scored on runs of 3, 54 and 50 yards and Melvin Young scored on a 80-yard kickoff return to lead the Mustang offensive assault. Wise finished with 149 yards on 8 carries.

Hector Tolento threw 11 and 4-yard scoring passes to Jaylen Jones and Kevon Marsh ran a kickoff back 66 yards and scored on a 7-yard run for Morgan City (2-8, 0-4).

C.H.E.F. 47, NOHS 20: Arek Moslander threw three touchdown passes to Timothy Costa and one to Ethan Costa as Christian Home Educators Fellowship won the Association of Christian Educators of Louisiana title Thursday night.

Timothy Costa scored on 44, 33 and 30 yard TD passes while Ethan Costa caught a 57 yard scoring strike and scored on runs of 38 and 1-yard runs.

Myron Ernest ran for 243 yards on 40 carries and scored on runs of 3, 23 and 13 yards for New Orleans Home School.
