NATCHITOCHES — St. Joseph’s Academy placed three runners in the top 10 en route to a first-place finish at Northwestern State University’s Pre-State High School Invitational cross country meet held Saturday.

Andree Laville placed fourth and Mary LaHaye was fifth for the Redstickers. St. Joeseph’s Rebecca Andries was 10th in the three-mile girls race won by Calvary Baptist’s Hailey Hesterman in 18 minutes, 37.336 seconds.

St. Joseph’s finished with 49 points, ahead of Fontainebleau (98) and Ruston (103).

Bossier City-based Parkway won the boys division with 62 points.

St. Michael (116) was second, followed by Ascension Catholic (151).

Trey Bonin, of Lafayette’s Teurlings Catholic won the three-mile boys race in 16:12.422. Ascension Catholic’s Zach Capello, who finished ninth, was the top local finisher.
