LAKE CHARLES – There’s something to be said about balance in basketball, and the Warren Easton said plenty.

Shaniqua Tobias and Kerchell Figueroa each had 13 points as top-seeded Warren Easton held off No. 5 Cabrini 47-39 in a Class 4A semifinal that opened Thursday’s action at the Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Girls Top 28 tournament at Burton Coliseum.

Rakell Spencer scored a game-high 24 points for Cabrini (27-6). Warren Easton (33-1) advances to play the Salmen-Karr winner in Saturday’s title game.
