LAFAYETTE — A group of Baton Rouge area football players will be playing in the 11th All-American Bowl Game Classic at St. Thomas More’s Cougar Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday.

Fifteen area players will be on the West roster, joining other seniors from Louisiana against the East roster, which is composed of mostly out of state players.

The East roster will have players from Florida, Arkansas, South Carolina, Illinois, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Among the offensive players on the West team are Southern Lab running back-linebacker Jagahn Ferguson, Plaquemine athlete Louis Conerly, Dunham athlete Jyron Walker, St. Michael wide receiver Matthew Butler, Ponchatoula wide receiver Brian Rodgers, Dunham tight end-linebacker Chase Day, Plaquemine tight end Joe Keller, Plaquemine offensive tackle Jodeci Harris, East Ascension guards Ryan Keller and Sam Hargrave and Plaquemine center Kenny Dotson.

West defensive players include Ferguson and Day at linebacker, Plaquemine safety Louis Conerly, McKinley safety Jorey Bryant and Ponchatoula kicker-punter Aaron Malik.

Southern Lab center Trevas Samuel is on the West team.
