Adam Coignet, Rummel

Coignet, a sophomore, has started this season strong. He placed first in the 100 breaststroke in the Metro New Orleans Kickoff on Sept. 5, and followed with a time three seconds faster than in that meet (1:03.38,) to take first in a dual meet Sept. 9. He also placed first in the 100 butterfly (57.29) in that dual, and swam a leg on four winning relays Sept. 12 in a relay meet in Sulphur.

Kaylin Swoboda, Mount Carmel

Swoboda led Mount Carmel to a victory over Hahnville and Ben Franklin on Sept. 9. She finished first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.39) and the 200-yard individual medley (2:22.44.) She also finished first in the 100 breaststroke at the Metro Swim Championship Kickoff on Sept. 5. The Cubs finished second in team scoring at the kickoff. Both events were at UNO.
