LAKE CHARLES – Top-seeded Atlanta outscored No. 4 Gibsland-Coleman 36-17 in the second half to claim a 56-36 victory in the second Class C semifinal played at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Boys Top 28 tournament on Tuesday.

Taren Sapp I scored 18 second-half points to help power the Bulldogs (31-5) in the game played at Burton Coliseum. He finished with a game-high 25 points, while Lashard Powell added 17. Xavian Haulcy led Gibsland-Coleman (22-7) with 18 points.

Atlanta advances to play New Living Word in the Class C final set for 4 p.m. Friday.
