LIVONIA - John Johnson, Jacob Jurls and Trenon Trosclair led Eunice by Livonia 22-20 in a District 5-3A showdown Friday night.

Johnson scored on a pair of 1-yard runs, the last staking Eunice (6-1, 2-0 in 5-3A) to a 22-13 lead in the fourth quarter. Jurls ran for 111 yards, including a 61-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. And Trosclair ran for 111 yards on 16 carries and was 7-for-9 for another 103 yards.

Mark Lewis ran for 71 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries to pace Livonia (6-1, 1-1), ranked fifth in Class 3A.

TEURLINGS CATHOLIC 28, BREAUX BRIDGE 7: In Lafayette, Dylan Bossier had six catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns and Teurlings Catholic stunned Breaux Bridge, ranked second in Class 4A, in District 5-4A.

Teurlings (4-3, 1-1 in 5-4A) outgained BBHS 380-120.

Bossier’s 65-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter gave Teurlings a 14-7 halftime lead. And his 73-yarder in the third quarter gave the Rebels a 28-7 lead. D’Shaie Landor also found Devante Jackson for a 26-yard TD pass in the third quarter.

Breaux Bridge (6-1, 1-1) never led. Travin Dural caught a 36-yard touchdown pass from Randall Menard to tie the game at 7-7 in the second quarter after Zack Lafleur’s 2-yard touchdown run gave Teurlings a 7-0 lead.

AMITE 38, JEWEL SUMNER 7: In Amite, James Oden ran for 141 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown, and Reggie Porter threw for 175 yards and two touchdowns to pace Amite, ranked third in Class 3A, to a District 8-3A victory.

Porter, who also ran 20 times for 83 yards, was 9-for-13 for Amite (6-1). He connected with Jermaine Joller for a 70-yard touchdown pass and Jarvis Jackson for a 30-yard touchdown pass.

ASSUMPTION 48, SOUTH TERREBONNE 29: In Bourg, Hunter Gauthreaux threw for 225 yards and four touchdowns and Chris Johnson ran for 145 yards on 21 carries to lead Assumption, ranked fourth in Class 4A, in a District 8-4A showdown.

Gauthreaux, who was 10-for-17, found Dejuawn Oliver for TD passes of 32 and 15 yards and connected with Jaylon Knockum for a 15-yard score and Malik Mills for a 39-yard score.

Chris Skidmore scored two TDs and ran for 37 yards on eight carries for AHS (7-0, 2-0 in 8-4A). Trevon Smith was 12 of 19 for 202 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions for STHS (5-2, 1-1).

KENTWOOD 34, ARCHBISHOP HANNON 7: In Kentwood, Harlan Miller threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Leslie Collins, in a District 7-1A romp.

Miller and Collins hooked up for TD passes of 58 and 29 yards, and he also hit Tracie Davis for a 62-yard scoring strike.

Miller also ran for 72 yards on 10 carries, and Davis also broke off a 57-yard touchdown run and Kentwood (5-2, 2-0 in 7-1A) scored in all four quarters.

Hannon (5-2, 0-2) had two passes intercepted.

TERREBONNE 20, THIBODAUX 14: In Thibodaux, Robert Gordon ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns - covering 52 and 10 yards - on 21 carries to lead Terrebonne to a District 7-5A victory.

Gordon’s 10-yard TD run in the fourth quarter lifted Terrebonne (3-4, 2-2 in 7-5A), which trailed 14-13 after Thibodaux’s Jason Richard returned a fumble 90 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter.

Aaron Thomas was 12-for-21 for 121 yards for Thibodaux (1-6, 1-2).

WESTMINSTER 34, ST. EDMUND 13: In Opelousas, Thomas Kemp ran for 226 yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries and threw for another TD as Westminster, ranked 10th in Class 1A, won a District 6-1A showdown.

Kemp had a pair of 4-yard touchdown runs in the second quarter as Westminster (5-2, 4-0 in 6-1A) took a 21-7 halftime lead. He later connected with Jalen Williams for a 12-yard touchdown in the third quarter. It was the only completion for Kemp, who was 1-for-3 passing.

David LaFleur was 15-for-30 for 239 yards and two touchdowns to pace St. Ed (5-2, 3-1).

CHURCH POINT 34, NORTHWEST 6: In Church Point, Jacob Boone ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries and Gallen Williams ran for 95 yards and two more TDs on 19 carries to lead Church Point to a District 5-3A victory.

Boone scored from 10 and 4 yards out, while Williams scored from 1 and 8 yards out. Tanner Higginbotham added a 67-yard fumble return for a touchdown for Church Point (6-1, 2-0 in 5-3A).

Geremy Landry was 12-for-20 for 139 yards and a touchdown - a 10-yard pass to Keavoni Shakesnider - to lead Northwest (2-5, 0-2).

HANSON 42, BERWICK 6: In Franklin, Beau Ancona and Kole Fluke each ran for two touchdowns as Hanson (5-2) cruised in a nondistrict game.

Ancona had nine carries for 114 yards, including scores of 2 and 10 yards, while Fluke had six carries for 50 yards, scoring from 10 and 1 yards out.

And Tyler Barrilleaux had two catches for 111 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Hanson led 36-0 at halftime. Berwick (0-7), a Class 3A team, managed just 104 total yards.

PORT BARRE 40, RAYNE 13: In Rayne, trailing 13-12 entering the fourth quarter, Port Barre unloaded 28 points in the final 10:37 to pull away for a District 5-3A win.

John Sylvester’s 10-yard touchdown run and subsequent two-point conversion run gave the Red Devils (3-4, 1-1 in 5-3A) a 20-13 lead with 10:37 remaining.

Jeremy Rose, who ran for 128 yards on 12 carries, followed with a 38-yard TD run for a 27-13 lead with 6:25 left. Sylvester, who ran for 101 yards on 15 carries, then ran for a 20-yard touchdown run for a 34-13 lead with 4:31 left. And C.J. Vedell, who ran for a 13-yard touchdown in the first quarter, closed the scoring with a 21-yard interception return for a touchdown with 4:09 remaining.

Dannie Harmon had a 78-yard touchdown catch for Rayne (5-2, 1-1).

VILLE PLATTE 52, PINE PRAIRIE 0: In Pine Prairie, Darius Poullard ran for three touchdowns - covering 57, 2 and 41 yards - and 129 yards as Ville Platte cruised.

Cody Jones added two touchdown passes on 3-for-4 passing, finding Justin Charles from 60 and 28 yards out on scoring connections. All of those scores took place in the first half as Ville Platte led 40-0 at halftime.

VPHS outgained Pine Prairie 360-86 and recovered four fumbles.

CECILIA 35, ST. MARTINVILLE 29: In St. Martinville, D’Andre Dartez ran for 174 yards and one touchdown, and Cecilia scored 28 points in the second half to hold off St. Martinville in District 5-4A.

Jeremy Doucet added 69 yards and two touchdowns and Shane Dupuis returned an interception 55 yards for a TD for Cecilia (3-4, 1-1 in 5-4A).

Jamiah Nelson ran for 194 yards and two touchdowns to lead St. Martinville (4-3, 1-1).

CENTRAL CATHOLIC-MORGAN CITY 48, ASCENSION EPISCOPAL 0: Josh Singleton completed three passes - all for long touchdowns - as Central Catholic romped in District 8-1A.

Singleton, who was 3-for-4 for 232 yards, found Lloyd Grogan for a 61-yard score, Dontrell Brown for an 83-yarder and Tyler Hoffpauir for an 88-yarder for CCMC (6-1, 1-0 in 8-1A).

Ascension Episcopal (2-3, 1-1) totaled just 77 yards and lost two fumbles.
