One of the nation’s top offensive lineman is headed to LSU.

Willie Allen, a senior offensive lineman at John Curtis, announced his decision Thursday morning in the lobby of his school.

His final four choices were LSU, Auburn, TCU and Georgia. Why the Tigers?

“It’s home. I felt comfortable there,” Allen said.

Allen, a 6-foot-7, 310 pound left tackle, is rated a 4-star recruit by 247sports.

He is currently ranked as the No. 15 best tackle in the country.

Allen was selected to the prestigious Under Armour All-American Game after helping the run-oriented John Curtis offense rack up 2,622 rushing yards and average 5.64 yards per carry.

He can make Thursday’s verbal commitment official on Feb. 3, national signing day.

“His athletic ability is obvious,” said Curtis coach JT Curtis. “He’s a guy who is 6-7, 310 who can moved his feet. More importantly, they are getting a good person. His priorities are in order.”

Allen is LSU's 21st commitment in 2016 and vaults the Tigers from No. 2 to No. 1 in's composite team recruiting rankings.

Allen’s announcement Thursday ended his busy recruiting ride.

“It feels unbelievable,” he said. “I can actually enjoy my senior year now. It was fun in the beginning, but at the end you’re getting phone calls every night so I’m happy it’s over.”
