LAKE CHARLES-- Southern Lab’s bid to add another championship to its state-best record haul fell short Saturday.

Travious Fielding scored 19 points and Danquarian Fields had 18 to lead the Hornets.

Bladrick Veal’s 9 points led the No. 3 Kittens, who trailed 32-19 at before rallying late to make it close.

Southern Lab (26-8) was trying to win its first title since 2005.
