Jake Broggi threw three touchdown passes to lead the Crusaders (3-0), ranked No. 8, past the seventh-ranked Demons (2-1).
Senior running back Jared West, who entered the game with 332 yards on the season, rushed 15 times for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
The Crusaders led 20-0 at the end of the first quarter and scored the game’s first four touchdowns, avenging last season’s 29-0 loss to the Demons.
Warren Easton 55, Carver 6: Deshawn Capers-Smith continued his torrid start to the season, throwing four touchdowns and rushing for two in against the Rams at Pan Am Stadium.
Capers-Smith, a Texas A&M commitment, has accounted for 19 touchdowns in just three games this season for the Eagles (3-0), ranked No. 1 in Class 4A and No. 1 in The New Orleans Advocate’s Large School Super 10.
It came just five days after he accounted for a career-best eight touchdowns on Sunday in a victory over West Jefferson.
Easton is now averaging 51.3 points per game this season.
The Eagles travel to play Woodlawn on Friday.
St. Paul’s 35, McDonogh (35) 27: Kenny Sears completed 18 of 26 passes for 233 yards and three touchdowns in the Wolves’ victory.
Timothy Bedford caught four passes for 145 yards.
Francois Ely and Austin Wiles also had touchdown receptions for St. Paul’s, which bounced back from last week’s loss to Jesuit.
Lusher 56, Sophie B. Wright 22: Eli Poche ran for two touchdowns and Joshua Barney ran for two more in the Lions’ victory over the Warriors.
Barney finished with 169 yards on 22 carries.
Poche completed 10 of 15 passes for 114 yards.
Daryl Lewis led the defense with six tackles and a sack.
Louis Landrum III scored the first touchdown for Lusher on a quarterback keeper as the Lions scored the game’s first 21 points.
Leon Courtney scored on a 95-yard kickoff return for Wright.
Derek Robinson completed 13 of 26 passes for 122 yards.
Northlake Christian 28, Pearl River 0: Miguel Black scored on runs of 24 and 48 yards to lead Northlake in its shutout win.
Black finished with 157 yards on 16 carries.
Quarterback Josh Landry completed all three of his pass attempts for 63 yards, including a 57-yarder to Gary Sampson.
Sampson, who finished with 69 receiving yards, also caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from Matt Whelan in the third quarter.
