By the numbers: Moses finished with 11 tackles and returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown in the Cubs’ win over Port Allen. The sophomore had multiple tackles for loss and also scored on a 12-yard run.

What the numbers mean: Consider the numbers to be additional proof of what a versatile threat Moses is for top-ranked University on both sides of the ball.

University coach Chad Mahaffey said: “Dylan just blew up the first play, tackling a guy for a loss and I thought that really set the tone for our defense. He played extremely well on defense all night and also got a TD on offense when he got the chance.”

By the numbers: Grant finished with 10 kills, five aces and two blocks in one victory last week and has consistently near double figures in kills while also picking up her totals for blocks and aces.

What the numbers mean: Grant is establishing herself as not only a consistent threat, but one of the Baton Rouge area’s top double threats on offense and defense.

Episcopal coach Briget Melancon said: “Over the last couple of weeks Erika has really stepped up her game offensively and she’s solid on defense. She has become more of a leader for us on offense and defense and it shows.”
