The Louisiana High School Athletic Association will conduct state championship events in four sports in different parts of the state during a six-day period beginning Monday.

Action for tennis and boys golf starts Monday at separate north Louisiana sites. The four-day LHSAA tennis tournament for boys and girls is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday in Monroe at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Competition in Divisions III, IV and V kicks off the action Monday and concludes Tuesday. Teams from schools in Louisiana’s two largest classes, Divisions I and II, begin their competition Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. and finish on Thursday.

The LHSAA’s state boys golf tourney is set to begin Monday in Shreveport with teams in Divisions I and III starting their two-day competition at East Ridge Country Club, while teams in Divisions II and IV are scheduled to compete at the Shreveport Country Club. Tee times start at 8 a.m. at both sites.

Then, the LHSAA’s two-day girls state golf tournament begin on Wednesday, also at the Shreveport Country Club. Tee tees also are set for 8 a.m. as competitions in Divisions I and II compete.

Meanwhile, the LHSAA’s State Outdoor Track Meet is scheduled to start Thursday at LSU’s Bernie Moore Track Stadium with competition for Classes B-C.

Competition for 1A and 2A is set for Friday, followed by competition for 3A, 4A and 5A on Saturday.

Field events are set to begin at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with running events to follow at 5 p.m. Saturday’s action starts at 10:45 a.m. with field events. Running events start at 3:30 p.m.
