Running back Bruce Jordan-Swilling has rushed for 1,409 yards and 26 total TDs. Holy Cross ranks ninth among large schools in The New Orleans Advocate Super 10. The Crusaders lead the all-time series against Holy Cross 25-16, which was interrupted from four years from 2009-12 when Holy Cross wasn’t in the Catholic League.

Central Lafourche (4-2, 1-1) at Destrehan (6-0, 3-0)

The Wildcats have won 12 consecutive district games dating to 2013. Their last loss came against Central Lafourche because of a forfeit.

Cohen (0-6, 0-1) at Fisher (3-3, 0-1)

The Buzz: District 7-2A game. Pope John Paul II has dropped its last two games by a combined score of 97-3. St. Thomas Aquinas posted its first shutout of the season last week against Carver, which had averaged 34.4 points per game through the first five weeks of the season.

Riverdale (1-5, 0-3) vs. Lake Area (1-5, 0-3)

The Buzz: District 9-4A game. This is the first meeting between these two schools. Riverdale has been outscored 160-12 in three district games. Lake Area’s game against Karr last week was declared over in the third quarter after a brawl occurred on the sideline. As a result, coach Derrick Lewis is suspended for this game.

Riverside (4-1, 1-0) at West St. John (2-4, 0-1)

Last week: Riverside beat Newman 41-14; West St. John lost to Country Day 55-26

The Buzz: District 9-2A game. This is the first meeting between these two River Parish teams as district opponents. Riverside, ranked fourth in Class 2A by the LSWA and first among small schools in The New Orleans Advocate Super 10, used both senior Herb McGee and sophomore Jared Butler at QB last week against Newman as sophomore Jordan Loving was officially ruled out for the year. West St. John has dropped four games in a row and is off to a 2-4 start for the first time since 2010.

Sci Academy (1-5, 1-2) at Lusher (3-3, 1-2), 4:30 p.m.

Last week: Sci Academy lost to St. James 53-0; Lusher beat McMain 32-14

The Buzz: District 9-3A game. This is the first meeting between these two schools. Sci has dropped back-to-back games against Clark and St. James since winning its district opener against KIPP. Lusher, ranked eighth among small schools in The New Orleans Advocate Super 10, earned its first district win of the season last week as it defeated McMain.

Shaw (3-3, 1-2) at Belle Chasse (4-2, 1-2)
