The Advocate’s All-Metro softball team: Classes 3A and below _lowres

Brusly outfielder Carlie Comeaux was the daily picture of consistency while leading the Class 3A Panthers to the state quarterfinals. The senior outfielder finished the season with an impressive .510 batting average, posted a .566 on-base percentage and also scored 41 runs to go with 40 RBIs. She is the Most Valuable Player on The Advocate’s 2014 All-Metro softball team for Classes 3A and below.

FIRST TEAM

P: Camryn Comeaux/Brusly

Finished 7-3 and posted a 2.31 ERA to help the Panthers to the 3A quarterfinalists.

P: Carli Jo Leblanc/Brusly

Compiled a 10-2 record with 107 strikeouts and a 0.36 ERA in an injury-shortened season.

P: Ryann Bizette/Catholic-Pointe Coupee

Had a 15-1 record and a 1.07 ERA with 165 strikeouts for CHSPC, a Class 1A semifinalist.

P: Kyndal Guillory/St. John

Was 12-7 as a pitcher for the 1A Eagles and also tallied a .442 batting average with 37 RBIs.

C: Kaitlin David/Brusly

Batted .307 with 27 runs and 25 RBIs to help the Panthers make the 3A quarterfinals.

C: Haleigh Giglio/Christian Life

Finished with a .448 batting average with 21 RBIs and .584 on-base percentage.

INF: Madison Laprairie/Brusly

Played shortstop and hit .380 for the Class 3A Panthers, compiling 21 runs and 19 RBIs.

INF: Nicky Dawson/Parkview Baptist

Had a .472 batting average, stole 44 bases, scored 38 runs and also played shortstop.

INF: Shelbi Strickland/St. John

Scored 44 runs and knocked in 30 runs to complement a .523 batting average.

OF: Lauren David/Catholic-PC

Hit four home runs and had 30 RBIs, a .383 batting average and .496 on-base percentage.

OF: Akiya Thymes/Brusly

Scored 38 runs, stole 31 bases, tallied 12 RBIs and finished with a .365 batting average for BHS.

OF: Phoebe Fabre/Catholic-PC

Returned to the outfield after a season at shortstop and posted a .402 batting average.

UTIL: Kenedie Richardson/Parkview Baptist

Played third base and hit .394 with symmetrical totals and 30 RBIs and 30 runs.

UTIL: Savannah Adams/Parkview Baptist

Had a .388 batting average, played first base with five home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 26 runs.

UTIL: Brooklyn Pearce/St. John

Was a top run producer for the Class 1A Eagles with a .444 average, five homers and 35 RBIs.

UTIL: Bre Willis/West Feliciana

A team leader for the Class 3A Saints tallied a .410 batting average and played the outfield.

UTIL: Katelyn Bellelo/Catholic-PC

Finished with a .386 batting average, a .447 on-base percentage and five home runs.

UTIL: Julia Beck/Ascension Catholic

Led the Bulldogs to a runner-up finish in Class 1A with a 22-6 record and 266 strikeouts

UTIL: Lexie Dautel/Parkview Baptist

The 3A Eagles’ second baseman batted .369 and also contributed 27 RBIs.

UTIL: Amy Langlois/Christian Life

Played several roles, had a .316 batting average and a .946 fielding percentage.

UTIL: Raeshaun Malancon/Ascension Catholic

Helped ACHS finish as the 1A runner-up with a .387 average, 11 home runs and 41 RBIs.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Lauren Doucet, Catholic-Pointe Coupee

Doucet led the Hornets to the Class 1A semifinals after navigating a challenging schedule that included numerous games against teams from larger classifications. CHSPC finished the season with a 25-4 record.
