Mandeville, a No. 2 seed, easily advanced to its first trip to the Pontchartrain Center since 2010 with a 25-15, 25-7 25-11 win over Baton Rouge High in Division I volleyball playoff action on Monday.

Junior Kailynn Haley led the Skippers (34-6) with 11 kills, 10 digs and four aces. Sam Gomez had nine kills, and Madison Bothner had six kills, two assists, three aces and a pair of blocks.

The Skippers are now slated to take on No. 10 Comeaux.

MOUNT CARMEL 3, ACADIANA 0: The defending Division I champions had little trouble with Acadiana, cruising to a 25-8, 25-5, 25-7 victory.

Mount Carmel will play Northshore or East Ascension in Thursday’s quarterfinals.

JOHN CURTIS 3, ST. CHARLES 1: Reaghan Fabacher led Curtis to a 25-11, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22 victory in the Division IV playoffs.

Fabacher finished with 19 assists and 17 digs for the Patriots.

Sarah Drake had 14 kills, 23 digs and a block and DeeDee Brown had 10 kills and five blocks.

Curtis, the No. 5 seed, will play No. 4 Sacred Heart on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

BELLE CHASSE 3, BREAUX BRIDGE 0: Toni Corso led the Cardinals with 20 digs and 18 kills in their win over Beaux Bridge in the Division II playoffs.

Catherine Richards and Kilie Armstrong had six and five blocks, respectively for the Cardinals, a No. 5 seed.

Belle Chasse will play No. 4 Central in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

HANNAN 3, THOMAS JEFFERSON 0: Hailey Cabeceiras had 16 kills and Tatum Ballard had 29 assists to lead No. 2 Hannan past No. 15 Thomas Jefferson in the second round of the Division IV playoffs

Hannan will play Episcopal in the Thursday’s quarterfinals.
