Younger, a 6-foot-4 junior guard, averaged 20.3 points in three victories for the Cajuns (11-7), ranked No. 8 in The New Orleans Advocate’s Super 10. He scored 20 points in victories over Newman and Houma Christian and scored 21 points against St. Martin’s.
“He is a great shooter, and he is tough to guard because of his size,” Country Day coach Mike McGuire said. “He can go inside or outside. He is just a complete player.”
Younger is averaging 18 points per game for the Cajuns.
Scholvin, a 5-foot-7 senior guard, had 19 points, six rebounds and nine steals in a 45-42 victory over then No. 7 ranked Covington. She also had 16 points in a victory over Northshore.
The Southeastern Louisiana signee is averaging 18.1 points per game for the Bulldogs.
“She basically leads us in everything,” Fontainebleau coach Mark Beason said.
