Around the Track

Last night was a great night of Starlight Racing and we move into a nice 11-race Saturday card. The featured race No. 9 Dixie Poker Ace will have some talented Louisiana-breds with 14 horses signed up. Dixie Poker Ace was a grass specialist who won over 800,000 in his career with a final tally of 86 starts and 27 wins including the first three runnings of the Louisiana Champions Day Turf Stakes. Sunbean makes his first start since running in the 2015 Champions Day Classice at Delta Downs over a year ago.

Best Bet

Our best bet today will be in Race 5 — No. 3 Archangel Rose. Ramsey bred and owned are tough to beat on turf and this horses’ figures have improved greatly in first two and will close late for the win. Good luck and may they all come home safely.
