Around the Track
The weekend before Mardi Gras at the Fair Grounds will give fans a chance to see a parade of stars and potential future stars on track. A full schedule of stakes races are slated for Louisiana Derby Preview Day including the Risen Star Stakes for three year old colts and the Rachel Alexandra Stakes for three year old fillies. Six stakes races are on tap for fans on Saturday, Feb. 25.
Our Best Bet today will be in Race 2 — No. 7 Goblet of Fire. The turf course favors closers over past few weeks and this one fits. Good Luck and may they all come home safely.
