Picks made for fast track and on turf.

First race

2: Shop Around Sue: Off slow, rushed up, gained ground and flat; better break today.

1: Flash Copy: Logical in this spot after a drop and new barn here.

Second race

2: Cause to Wonder: Unlikely to get 6-1, but this one has won two in a row.

4: Blasted Boss: Back to the turf with a bit of class relief to boot today.

Third race

1: Miss Dreamsicle: Goes outside to inside post and has speed to lead ’em all the way.

6: Easy Geaux: Lost all chance at start in last race. Gets another shot stretching out to mile.

Fourth race

7: Boomtiderock: Projecting a nice stalking trip outside the inside speed.

1: Shes Got the Mojo: Expect heady rider Murrill to send this one to the front.

Fifth race

4: Case’s Ticket: believe that Chantal will hustle this one up close early on

1: Paddy O’Lionel: Has the inside and has run well on the dirt in the past.

Sixth race

7: Oscariffic: Should get a great setup in a race filled with early speedball types.

1: KLS Forty Three: Looks like the one to get first run on the leaders from the rail.

Seventh race

3: A P Indy Is Gold: Has a race over the track and stretches out, which may be best.

5: Oakmont: Had no pace to run into in last but still closed stoutly for second.

Eighth race

7: Jax Heritage: Had traffic issues and little pace to set up late run in last.

9: Kit Check: Moved a bit too soon after tardy start but hung on well.

Ninth race

8: Final Deed: Won for us last time and steps up here and looks good again.

12: Ill Est Vite: Bad post but shouldn’t hinder his come-from-behind closing kick

Around the Track

This year we are tracking Chok’s Choices for both first and second picks to see how each does during the meet. After a rather poor last week because of a sloppy/off turf (that is my excuse and I’m sticking to it), the ledger looks like this for Top Chok’s Choices:

105: 23-21-21 = 22 percent win/62 percent In the money/95 cents return for every 1 dollar bet to win

For Chok’s Second Choices or “the unders”: 106-25-14-14 = 24 percent win/50 percent In the money/1.11 return or ROI

These are good, but not great, and we want to have great results for the entire season but will keep posting the results no matter how good or how bad.

Best Bet

Our Best Bet today will be in Race 3 — No. 1 Miss Dreamsicle. Love the outside post in last to the inside post in today’s heat move. Good Luck and may they all come home safely.
