The New Orleans Pelicans begin a three-game road trip with a 6 p.m. tipoff Tuesday at the Washington Wizards. Here are three things to know:

1) CATCH 'N RELEASE

New Orleans has made 10 or more 3-pointers in each of its past 11 games, partially because of red-hot numbers from a batch of shooters who happen to be shooting better than they ever have before.

Player Career 3FG% before 2017-183FG% this season
 Anthony Davis 29.0 34.9
 Darius Miller 35.1 45.7
 E'Twaun Moore 36.9 47.5
 Rajon Rondo 30.4 37.8

2) COUNTING COUSINS

DeMarcus Cousins is leading the NBA in a number of categories — some good, some not so much. As of Monday, Cousins leads the league in defensive rebounds (304), turnovers (157) and personal fouls (110). Cousins also ranks fourth in both field goal attempts with 573 and total points at 787.

3) MONTH OF GIVING

In December, the Pelicans have been more than generous. New Orleans is averaging 28.3 assists per game, the third-most in the NBA behind the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors. However, the Pelicans are averaging 15.8 turnovers in nine December games, the fourth-most in the league.
