The Pelicans return to the Smoothie King Center to face the Denver Nuggets at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Here are three things to know:
1. GIVE ME MOORE
Pelicans’ guard E’Twaun Moore helped make up for Anthony Davis’ absence, scoring a career-best 27 points during Monday’s loss to Golden State. Moore has converted a blistering 53 percent of his 3-point attempts over the past month, helping fortify New Orleans’ three-guard lineup.
2. DENVER DEALING
The Nuggets blasted New Orleans 148-114 on Nov. 17 in the Pepsi Center, the last meeting between these teams. The Pelicans set a low-water mark defensively, allowing more points than any game in franchise history, which dates to 2002-03.
3. FROM WAY DOWNTOWN
The Pelicans are converting from deep at a record rate. New Orleans has made at least 14 3-pointers in four straight games, the longest streak in franchise history. The previous high was a two-game stretch.
