The Pelicans will sign swingman Jordan Hamilton for the rest of the season, sources told The New Orleans Advocate on Sunday.

Hamilton first signed a 10-day contract with the Pelicans on March 25 and will finish the season with the team. The Pelicans have six games left, capped by their finale April 13 at Minnesota.

The 6-foot-7 Hamiton, a 2011 first-round pick out of Texas, is averaging 11.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in five games since joining the Pelicans. He started three of those games.

He had a double-double Sunday in the Pelicans’ 106-87 victory at the Brooklyn Nets, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
