The Pelicans travel to Dallas to face the Mavericks on Sunday night at 6 p.m. in the American Airlines Center. Here are three things to know:

1) DAVIS CROWNED: Anthony Davis was named the Western Conference’s Player of the Month, thanks to averaging 35 points and 13 rebounds in February. “I’ve never gotten Player of the Month before, so to put that on the resume is something amazing for me. I want to keep this thing going,” Davis said.

2) IN THE TANK: Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was $600,000 on Feb. 21 for admitting the best thing his team could do is lose for the remainder of the season. The admission, on Julius Erving’s podcast, set off a firestorm of conversation about tanking for position in the draft lottery.

3) NO SOLO: Solomon Hill has yet to play this season while recovering from a hamstring tear and is not expected to play on this three-game road trip. However, coach Alvin Gentry said Hill participated in practice this week and claimed it was encouraging to see him get up and down the floor.
