It is a milestone on a stat sheet that can change for the better or the worse the next time Pelicans forward Anthony Davis plays a game, which in this case will be Tuesday when New Orleans hosts the New York Knicks in the Smoothie King Center.

But at the present time it is worth savoring as much for what it means as well as what it symbolizes.
