New Orleans Pelicans forward Quincy Pondexter underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Wednesday morning, the team announced. A timetable for his return to basketball activities is not yet set.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Pondexter, acquired Jan. 12 in a three-team trade with Boston and Memphis, was a key piece in the Pelicans’ late-season run to the Western Conference playoffs.

Appearing in a total of 75 games with Memphis and New Orleans, Pondexter averaged 7.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.9 minutes per game.

Pondexter played in all four playoff games against Golden State, averaging 7.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in the Warriors’ four-game sweep.
