WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W. Va. — With the exception of two defensive starters, the Saints appear to be relatively healthy as the preseason opener against Baltimore nears.

Defensive end Akiem Hicks and safety Jairus Byrd are both missing from Monday’s morning session, Byrd as he battles a knee injury.

Veteran safety Kenny Phillips is out of action again today and riding the exercise bike.

Wide receiver Brandin Cooks is back in full pads, as is offensive guard Cyril Lemon, who missed Sunday’s session.

Wide receiver Brandon Coleman is also back in full pads.

Kick returner Jalen Saunders and P.J. Williams, who’ve been away from the practice field, are both back to riding the exercise bike.

Long snapper Justin Drescher, who is almost back from injury, is not on the field, but he’s been doing rehab work and snapping regularly.
