Saints defeat Eagles 26-24 in an NFC Wild Card game _lowres

Shayne Graham hit a 32-yard field goal as time expired to lift New Orleans to a 26-24 victory at Philadelphia in a NFC Wild Card playoff game.

Both teams started slowly on offense in the first half.

The Saints finally scored first when they drove 43 yards on 11 plays for a 36-yard field goal by Shayne Graham, which made the score 3-0 with 8:37 left in the second quarter.

But the Eagles came back to take a 7-3 lead when Folse threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Riley Cooper with 1:48 remaining. The score capped a six-play, 44-yard drive that started after Brees threw an interception.

Graham hit his second field goal of the game, a 46 yard shot, to make the score 7-6 at the end of the half.

Brees completed 10 of 18 passes for 98 yards in the first half, but threw two interceptions.

With the Saints trailing 7-6, Brees threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to receiver Lance Moore to give the team a 13-7 lead in the third quarter.

The Saints increased their lead to 20-7 in the quarter when Mark Ingram powered his way up the middle for a 4-yard touchdown run.

The Eagles cut the lead to 20-14 when DeSean McCoy scored on a 1-yard touchdown run on a fourth-and-goal play with 32 seconds in the quarter.

Philadelphia made the score 20-17 when Alex Henery hit a 31-yard field goal with 11:14 remaining in the game.

Graham hit a 35-yard field goal to make the score 23-17 with 8:04 remaining.

Philadelphia took its first lead of the game when quarterback Nick Folse, taking advantage of a Saints secondary with top cornerback Keenan Lewis (head injruy), threw a 3-yard touchdown down Zach Ertz to make the score 24-23 with 4:54 remaining.
