New Orleans placed outside linebacker Davis Tull, running back Marcus Murphy and offensive lineman Antonio Johnson on the non-football injury list on Wednesday.

The Saints’ rookie class reported to Metairie Wednesday for training camp. From there, the team will fly to West Virginia on Tuesday, go through reporting day on Wednesday and begin practices in earnest next Thursday.

Tull, the fifth-round pick who underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in March, spent the summer working off to the side during organized team activities and minicamps as he tried to rehabilitate the injury in time for practice.

Neither Murphy — the Saints’ seventh-round pick — or Johnson missed time with an injury during summer workouts.

By being placed on the non-football injury list, all three players are eligible to come off the list at any point during camp, but they must be activated before they begin practice.
