The Saints are now dealing with an injury to their punter.

Thomas Morstead was held out of action during the second half of Sunday’s win over the Dallas Cowboys due to a strained quad suffered during a kickoff, coach Sean Payton told WWL radio Monday afternoon.

“His injury should come along just fine,” Payton said.

It appears there is some concern regarding the situation. The Saints are planning on in bringing in four punters to work out on Tuesday, according to to Fox Sports 1.

The tryouts could be to just update emergency lists. It could also be to find a contingency in the event Morstead is unable to play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fox also reports the Saints will work out some kickers later this week after Zach Hocker missed a kick at the end of the fourth quarter that sent the game into overtime. New Orleans also tried out a handful of kickers last month.
