WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va.-- Those in attendance at practice today saw Champ Bailey for the first time since July 31.

The cornerback suffered an undisclosed injury and has alternated between sitting out or riding a stationary bike. He spent some time Monday jogging in an end zone with Drew Brees and Kenny Stills.

Did not participate:

QB Drew Brees, K Shayne Graham, CB Champ Bailey, CB Patrick Robinson, CB Rob Sweeting, FB Erik Lorig, S Ty Zimmerman, OL Jahri Evans, OL Ty Nsekhe, WR Kenny Stills, TE Je'Ronn Hamm, LB Victor Butler.

-- Kenny Stills ramped up his rehab work by doing some work between the cones. Brees later threw passes to Stills with Bailey in coverage.

-- With Brees out, Ryan Griffin received some work with the first-team offense. This isn't completely new, but Luke McCown received those snaps Sunday.

-- Cooks turned a short pass from McCown into a big gain during a third-and-short drill. This is turning into a regular occurrence.

-- Thomas Morstead was hanging his punts right around 4.6 seconds.

-- Trevin Wade broke free during a punt-coverage drill.

-- John Jenkins beat Tim Lelito with a nice inside move during one-on-ones.

-- Joe Morgan had a highlight moment during 7-on-7s when he dove to reel in a touchdown pass from McCown.

-- Seantavius Jones dropped a pass that was almost picked off.

-- Vinnie Sunseri picked off a Logan Kilgore pass intended Jones.

-- Cooks caught a short pass over the middle and ran it down the field for a touchdown. He beat Keenan Lewis to the end zone.
