Defensive end Tyrunn Walker (knee), safety Roman Harper (knee), wide receiver Lance Moore (hand) and right tackle Zach Strief (ankle) sat out team drills on Thursday, according to the New Orleans Saints. They all were held out of drills on Wednesday, too, as the 5-0 Saints prepared to face the 4-1 New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on Sunday.
Cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee), safety Malcolm Jenkins (neck), linebacker Ramon Humber (calf), nose tackle Brodrick Bunkley (calf) and running back Mark Ingram (toe) were limited in drills, which they were Wednesday.
Over in New England, running backs Stevan Ridley (a former LSU standout) and Brandon Bolden (an ex-star at Scotlandville High) were again limited with knee problems. Two-time Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm/back), wideout Danny Amendola (groin), linebacker Dont’a Hightower (knee) and linebacker Jerod Mayo (ankle) were also limited.
Running back Leon Washington (ankle), defensive lineman Tommy Kelly (knee), linebacker Jamie Collins (not injury-related) and defensive lineman Michael Buchanan (not injury-related) missed practice.
The Saints seem to be in for a tough road test against the Patriots. New England is 20-1 at home in the month of October since 2003.
