New Orleans brought back tight end Michael Hoomanawanui on Tuesday, preventing at least one of the Saints’ tight ends from hitting the market as Benjamin Watson reportedly agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Hoomanawanui’s deal is worth three years, $5.2 million, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson.

According to the report, Hoomanawanui’s deal includes $1.85 million in guaranteed money, with a $1 million signing bonus and base salaries of $850,000 in the first year and $1.35 million in the last two.

New Orleans has until the start of the new league year at 3 p.m. to offer Josh Hill, a restricted free agent, a contract tender or re-sign him to prevent him from hitting the open market.
