Willie Snead was given a bigger opportunity during Sunday's game against the Houston Texans.

He stepped up and took advantage.

Working as the No. 4 receiver, the second-year player caught four passes for 56 yards to build on the momentum he's created throughout camp.

The Saints lost the game at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, 27-13.

The Saints fell into an early hole when the defense gave up a touchdown on a seven-play, 80-yard drive to start the game. Cornerback Keenan Lewis was flagged for being offsides and pass interference during the drive.

The Saints pushed down to the 10-yard line on opening drive but had to settle for a field goal.

Quarterback Drew Brees only played the first series of the game. He finished 4-of-6 for 40 yards.

Brees was spelled by Luke McCown, who played the rest of the half. Rookie quarterback Garrett Grayson entered the game in the second quarter and played the second half.
