INDIANAPOLIS — Nine Saints are not dressed out for the visit Saturday night to the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium: wide receiver Andy Tanner, cornerback Trevin Wade, safety Marcus Ball, cornerback Rod Sweeting, fullback Erik Lorig, safety Ty Zimmerman, linebacker Khairi Fortt, tackle Ty Nsekhe and linebacker Victor Butler.

That means Saints defensive backs Jairus Byrd (safety) and Champ Bailey (cornerback) will be available after missing New Orleans' first two exhibitions this preseason. The same is true for quarterback Drew Brees and his two Pro Bowl guards, Ben Grubbs and Jahri Evans.

Cornerback Keenan Lewis was in pads after leaving the Saints' second preseason game early with an apparent leg/foot injury. Cornerback Patrick Robinson was in pads after missing the second preseason game. Rookie receiver Brandin Cooks is also in pads after being sidelined for a couple of practices early in the week with a stomach virus.

For the Colts, S Delano Howell, RB Vick Ballard, RB Deji Karim, ILB Jerrell Freeman, ILB Josh McNary, T Ulrick John, T Xavier Nixon, and DT Montori Hughes did not dress out, the team said.

Of the Saints not available Saturday, Lorig, Butler and Nsekhe have not played this preseason.
